I felt that they did not care about our discomfort at having had to stand out in the cold for half hour nor that after a night of partying at their establishment, I could have gotten a DUI after being rudely awakened and put out into the freezing night, and instinctually wanting to go home. Our evening's stay and sleep was ruined, and when I addressed this with management they refused to "comp" us for the room. Thankfully I wasn't so far gone and listened to my boyfriend who talked me out of driving home and potentially getting a DUI. My instinct while in my stupor was to drive home and get into my warm bed. ![]() I was tipsy, tired and cold waiting outside for half-hour until the firefighters left. The weather was 26 degrees outside and freezing. After it went off, we were instructed to get out of our warm beds and room. However, that night after the festivities ended, some fool pulled the fire-alarm, which screeched intolerably loud for 1/2 an hour. The price included the stay at the hotel and a nice, hearty breakfast in the morning. The Flamingo put on a good party and we got a reasonable price for the evening's entertainment which consisted of a rock-n-roll band and a Disco DJ. We knew we would be drinking on New Year's Eve and didn't want to worry about drinking and driving. My boyfriend and I decided to stay the night at the Flamingo Hotel even though we only live 20 mins. I felt that they did not care about our discomfort at having had to stand out in the cold for half hour. ![]() ![]()
